Matt has led Jervois’ U.S. operations since 2021 and has over 25 years experience in the mining industry across operations, operational excellence and mine site management.

Matt joined Jervois after more than 20 years at Rio Tinto across copper, iron ore, bauxite (aluminium) and coal. Prior to guiding Rio Tinto’s drive into mining technological development, Matt was General Manager at Bingham Canyon Mine, Utah, one of Rio Tinto’s largest global copper operations, and General Manager of Rio Tinto’s Iron Ore’s integrated operations centre in Perth, Australia.
