São Miguel Paulista Refinery

The refurbishment and construction project to restart the São Miguel Paulista nickel cobalt refinery is underway, and once back in operation, it will be the only Class 1 refinery in Latin America.

We are expecting to produce 12,000 metric tonnes of refined nickel metal and 2,000 metric tonnes of cobalt metal each year which will be sold to domestic and overseas markets.

Located in the São Miguel Paulista neighbourhood of São Paulo, the project will deliver significant local and regional economic and social benefits to the São Miguel Paulista and surrounding areas.

São Miguel Paulista has a proud operating history, dating back to over 35 years when operations at the refinery commenced. Jervois is excited to be bringing the refinery back into operation and providing local jobs and employment.

Project Update
